You don't have to be an adventurer like Bear Grylls to get involved with Scouting. Everyone has skills and something to offer!
10th Haywards Heath is run by a diverse group of people, with varied talents, offering varied amounts of time. Collectively, they ensure we run a thriving Scout Group.
Our volunteer roles include an Executive Committee (Chair, Treasurer, Secretary, Quartermaster, Fundraising Co‐Ordinator and Group Scout Leader) and each Scout section is run by a team of volunteers without whom weekly meetings - and the associated adventure and fun - would not be possible.
We give priority to any child on our waiting list whose parent volunteers to help in the running of the Scout Group.
The Scouting adventure can be as much for adults as it is for young people. Not only does it provide an opportunity to use individual skills and experience for community benefit; it's also a chance to meet new people; learn new skills; develop confidence, leadership and team-working abilities; and have fun!
It doesn't matter if you've never been a Scout. There's masses of information; training and practical support on offer. Whatever time you're able to give - in whatever capacity - we will make sure you are well supported and that your time and talents are put to good use!
